LiveBingo help

Everything a host needs on the night: getting the game on the big screen, getting players in, and what to do when a phone acts up.

Put the game on the TV

  • A laptop with an HDMI cable is the most reliable: open the TV link from your host screen and make the browser full screen.
  • A smart TV with a web browser works too: type the TV link into the TV's browser.
  • Casting a Chrome tab or mirroring with AirPlay works, with a second or two of delay. Use the phone you host from for something else, not the one you're mirroring.
  • The TV link has no host controls on it, so it's safe on a screen everyone can see.

Getting players in

  • Players scan the QR code on the TV, or go to FreeLiveBingo.com and type the six-digit code.
  • Nobody installs an app or makes an account to play.
  • Without an account a game holds 5 players; a free account holds 20. When a game is full, the next player waits and you can let them in from your phone without restarting.

A phone won't join

  • Check the code against the TV. Codes are six digits, and an old code stops working when its game ends.
  • Try mobile data instead of the Wi-Fi. Some office, school and hotel networks block live games.
  • Reload the page. If the phone already joined, it comes back as the same name.
  • A very old phone may not run the game. It can still watch the TV.

Someone dropped out

  • A player who reloads or loses signal rejoins as the same name, and the game carries on without them in the meantime.
  • If the host's phone drops, the game keeps going on the TV. Open your host link again, on the same phone, to take back control.
  • Removed a player by mistake? They can join again with a different name.

The caller's voice

  • The voice caller reads each call out loud from the device showing the TV screen, so turn the TV or laptop volume up.
  • Some browsers only play sound after a tap: tap the TV screen once when the game starts.
  • The voice comes with the Bingo Night Pass and Host Pro.

A bingo that didn't count

  • Every bingo is checked against the calls. A card that doesn't have the pattern yet says so, and the game carries on.
  • Squares mark themselves when they're called, so a missed tap never costs anyone a bingo.

Still stuck?

Write to hello@freelivebingo.com with the game's code and what the screen says.

Call the first number tonight

Open it on the TV, share the code, and every phone has a card in seconds.
